Obituary of Gaylord Hall

Gaylord Hall was born in Burnside, N.Y. to Althea Alderich Hall and Ross Hall on June 18, 1931. He grew up in Orange County N.Y. and graduated from Washingtonville High School in 1949. Gaylord had a great love for baseball in High School that lead throughout his lifetime. He married Marie Ethel Tompkins on July 6, 1952 and started a family. He bought his own farm in 1968 until he moved his farm to Cortland, N.Y. and continued until 1992. Gaylord worked for Cornell from 1992-1999 and for Morris/ETL from 1998 to 2008 in which he retired as a Guard.
Gaylord was also a member of Westminster Presbyterian in Rock Tavern, N.Y. from 1968 until 1988 where he served as a trustee, Deacon, Elder, as well as the Sunday School. He moved his faith to Crown Alliance in Cortland, N.Y. where he eventually joined the membership in 2014. Gaylord was a proud Dad, Grandfather and Great-grandfather, who loved his family unconditionally with a Strong Christian Faith.
He was predeceased by his mother Althea (Alderich) Hall, his father Ross Hall, his sons Paul G. Hall and Gary Hall, his sister Marie Krupp, and his beloved wife Marie Ethel Hall (Tompkins).
Gaylord is survived by his Children, Glenn Hall, Dennis (Karen) Hall, Linda Hall, Ross (Jill) Hall, Keith (Cindy Sloane); grandchildren Gary Jr. (Rebecca), Jody, David (Stacie), Ross Jr. (Stephanie), Jodi, Taisja, Brittany, Damien, Kristy Madura, Kevin Pulver, Great Grandchildren, Ashlyn, Arianna, Daniel, and Lucas.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 5 to 7pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral services will be Thursday at the funeral home at 1pm. Burial will take places on Friday at the Hamptonburgh Cemetery at 1pm.
