Obituary of Klara Feuerherm

Klara Feuerherm, 84, passed away Thursday September 16, 2021 at The Brewster House in Homer. She was predeceased by her loving husband Horst in April of 2000. She was born March 30, 1937 in Oberhausen, Germany, the daughter of the late Arthur and Luise Spier Vahle. She was a longtime resident of Cortland and Truxton. For many years she worked at Smith Corona Corp. and then 20 years in the food service department in the Cortland School District. She enjoyed going to the horse track at Vernon Downs and Turning Stone Casino with friends. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Klara is survived by her children Peter (Catherine) Feuerherm and Susanne (Brian) Tarris, Brother Friedel Vahle, Sister Ericka Zippel, Grand Children Matthew (Susie) Feuerherm, Julie (Jay) Marcellus, Crystal and Jade Tarris, Great Grandchildren Zoe and Mackenzie. A time of sharing will be held Monday September 20, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc. 9 Lincoln Ave. Cortland, NY.
