Robert F. Hughes, 88, of Homer, NY passed away on September 20, 2021. He was born on May 15, 1933, the son of the late Harold and Gertrude Hughes.
Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, listening to country music and watching the NY Yankees. He was a mason and a carpenter and worked in construction for many years.
Bob is survived by his wife of 44 years, Tiny Hughes, his sons Robert (Maria) Hughes, Herb Harrington, and Joe Harrington, his daughters Marilyn (Dave Hromalik) Ligoci, Janet (Mark) Romano, and Carol (Jack) Todar, his sister in laws Cheryl Richer and Shirley Richer, and 18 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by son "Squeak" Harrington and by his 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday September 26, 2021 from 2-4 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland, NY. A funeral service will follow with Rev. Park officiating.
