Obituary of Barbara Ann Tryon

Barbara Ann Froebel Tryon, 85, of Oxford, NY, passed away on October 1, 2021, in Wilson Memorial Hospital. Funeral service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at 11:00 with Reverend Cory Eckstrom of St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow at Marathon Cemetery, Marathon, NY. Visitation will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Tuesday October 5 at 10:00. Wright Beard Funeral Home in Cortland, NY will be handling the funeral arrangements. Barbara was born in Duke Center, PA to Carl and Luella Froebel on December 1, 1935. She went to high school at Marathon Central School and graduated in 1952. She was a devoted wife and mother and a friend to all she met. She enjoyed baking, gardening, tole painting and collecting and refinishing antiques. Barbara is survived by her, daughter Brenda Campbell and husband Duward Campbell of Lubbock, TX and Carla Turner and Paul Turner of S. Egremont, MA. Barbara adored her grandchildren Jenna Ducharme, Trevor Turner and Curtis Campbell. Sisters, Janis Parker and Judy Edmonston and brothers Francis Froebel and Carl Froebel. She is preceded in death by her husband Ralph Tryon.
