I’m very sad to learn of Carole’s passing. Tom and I send condolences to Gary, their combined children and families and Carole’s sister and brother-in-law JoAnn and Bob Lowe. I have so many good memories of Carole from our LaFayette school days and throughout our lives. As young teens, in a blood oath ceremony where we cut ourselves and pressed the wounds together, we became blood sisters. Perhaps that explains why years could pass without communicating and yet I still felt a strong connection with her. Even now, whenever I pass by her childhood home in LaFayette, I look up at the dormers, remembering the many sleepovers, laughter, and talks we shared there. Great memories except for when her father tried to make me eat a poached egg for breakfast. Carole was the only classmate to be invited to my childhood home for a sleepover because I felt she was a kind and nonjudgmental friend. I last saw Carole in 2019 while grocery shopping and received a warm hug and big smile. That was Carole and that’s a memory I will carry in my heart.

Anyone who knew Carole would say the same thing, she was consistent. If she was having a bad day or was under stress we couldn't tell. She was a lovely lady who knew how to love and didn't hesitate to show it. I am so sorry she is gone. Sending much love to her family and friends.

Gary and family,
I am so sad to hear of Carole's passing. I worked with her at SU Food Services. She was one of the most pleasant, sweetest people I've ever met. Always smiling, always happy, Carole was one of a kind for sure. You couldn't ask for a better co-worker or friend. Sincere sympathy to you at this difficult time. Please know that you are in my prayers and never doubt how much Carole was admired and loved.
