Obituary of Norman Grant

Norman L. Grant, 83, of Cortland, NY passed away on October 2, 2021. He was born on January 8, 1938, the son of the late Loren and Norma DuMond Grant. Norman loved traveling. He enjoyed spending winters in Florida. Norman was a dedicated member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church since his teenage years. He was the proud owner of his business Grant Plumbing and Heating. He is survived by his wife Shirley Grant of 64 years, his daughters Teresa (Dale) Sturdevant, Jacqueline (Chris) Tier, Michele (Robert) Funk, and Susan (Fred Jr.) Whittset, his sister Marylou Hogle, his 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Calling hours will be held on Thursday October 7, 2021 from 3-5pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland, NY. A funeral service will held on Friday October 8, 2021 at 11am at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, 49 Hamlin St., Cortland, NY. Burial will follow at the McGraw Cemetery.
