Thomas McDonald, 61, of Dryden, NY passed away on Saturday October 23, 2021. He was born on August 25, 1960 in Brookhaven, NY. Tom was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He loved being with his grandchildren and especially enjoyed painting during their time together. He loved all things outdoors including hunting, fishing, kayaking, and bonfires with friends and family. He was a kind, compassionate person who made friends everywhere he went. He always took the time to brighten a person's day, be it family, friend or stranger. His warm presence will be missed beyond words by many. Tom is survived by his loving wife Lorrie, his daughters Jennifer (Chip) and Melissa (Chet), his grandchildren Kailyn, Hannah, Morgan, Logan and Quinn, his siblings Steven (Michele), James, Kathy, Suzanne, and Karen, his father and mother in law Harold and Shirley, his sister in laws Sharon (Bill), Sue (Chris), and Patty (Nick), and his brother in laws Ronald, Don (Lisa), and Gary (Darlene), and his many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother Dorothy, stepfather Doug, his father Gordon, and his brother Robert. Funeral services will be private. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday October 30, 2021 at 2pm at the Living Word Free Methodist Church, 9 Grace St., Cortland, NY 13045, and will be open to the public.
