Obituary of Raymond Towers

Raymond Towers, also known as "Red" & "Uncle Ray", 76, of Cortland, NY passed away peacefully at Bishop Rehab & Nursing facility on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. He was born on May 7, 1945 in Cortland, NY the son of the late Donald & Alberta Towers. Raymond was a social butterfly and was well known for tooling around Cortland in his red scooter! He had many friends around town and in the Senior apartments on Church St. He missed them dearly when he moved to Syracuse. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved watching the birds & squirrels. He was a loving uncle & friend to everyone and was well loved! He worked in many different areas, a "jack of all trades" type of guy. Raymond proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam war. He is survived by his brother, Jack Towers, nephew, Ky (Danielle) Towers and numerous nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Marion, Donald, Garry & sisters Beverly & Judy Towers. A celebration of Raymond's life will be held Friday, November 26, 2021 10 am-12 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave. Cortland, NY 13045.
