Obituary of Bonnie Mauzy

Bonnie Mauzy, 53, of Cortland, NY passed away on November 11, 2021. She was born on April 4, 1968 in Cortland, NY. Bonnie was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going to family gatherings. Bonnie cared deeply for her pets and had numerous animals she took in throughout her life. She was very sweet and kind hearted and had a lot of love to give. Bonnie was a dedicated member of her church and continuously made donations to them to show her support. She was sassy with a great sense of humor, and her fun sense of fashion will not be forgotten. Bonnie made an impact on many people throughout her life and saw the good in everyone. Every year her birthday was celebrated by going to the Cortland Chinese Buffet and we will continue to do that in her memory. Bonnie is survived by her mother Luella Gratien, her dog Lilly, her cat Tigger, her siblings David, Robert, Marc (Rik), and Monte Mauzy, her aunt Daisy Mazzole, her nieces Ellen, Alex (Matt), Rachel (Matt), Lily, and Bekah Mauzy, and her great nieces and nephews Sophia, Emelia, Shelby, Theo, and Emmitt. She is predeceased by her father David John Mauzy Sr., and her dogs Lady and Honey Mauzy. A calling hour will be held on Saturday December 4, 2021 from 1-2pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland, NY. A celebration of life will follow.
