Obituary of Linda Davenport

Linda Davenport, 74, of Cortland, NY passed away unexpectedly on November 24, 2021. She was born on January 28, 1947 in Cortland, NY. Linda was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Her grandchildren were her world, spending time with them was her favorite thing to do. Linda enjoyed gambling with her best friend Betty Streeter. Linda's niece Brenda Teeter was also a special person in her life who was always there for her. She was fortunate to have her sister Theresa Baker as her lifelong best friend. Linda is survived by her children Michael (Becky) Cranston, Wendy (Tim) Stafford, and Derrick Cranston, her siblings Theresa (Harry) Baker, Leo (Sue) Lindley Jr., and Robin (Kevin) Yager, her grandchildren Matthew Cranston, Emily Cranston, Carter M. Cranston, Bre Ella Cranston, Josh Kiefer, Trevor Kiefer, Kody Cranston, Kierra Cranston, Addon Cranston, Karleigh Gohs, Colter Gohs, Carter A. Cranston, Brandon Stafford, Brianna Stafford, and Becca Stafford, her 11 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Monday November 29, 2021 from 1-3pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland, NY. A memorial service to follow. Pastor Stephanie Brown will be officiating.
