Warner "Dick" McKane Jr., 83, of Homer NY passed away December 8, 2021 at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse NY. He was born July 19, 1938 in Moravia NY, the son of the late Warner McKane Sr. and Ethel Crockford.
Dick was a lifelong resident of the area. He retired from Gutchess Lumber as a truck driver with over 30 years of employment. Dick enjoyed golfing, camping, hunting, fishing, bowling, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his sons Michael (Nancy) McKane and Bradley (Christine) McKane, his daughters Shelley (Russell) Newman and Tracey (Donald) Phillips, eleven grandchildren fifteen great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, his companion Arlene Stephens, and his sister Bonnie Clonts.
Dick was predeceased by his wife Janet McKane, his daughter Kathy Vanderpoel, his sisters Catherine Riccio, Charlotte Snell and Rose Humphrey, his brothers Donald McKane, Gordon McKane, Fred McKane, Kenneth Crockford and Norman Crockford.
Private graveside services will be held in the spring at the Glenwood Cemetery, Homer NY. A celebration of Life will be announced.
