Shirley M. Chamberlain, 84 of Cortland passed away on January 17, 2022 at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center. She was born on August 27, 1937 in Johnson City, a daughter of the late George and Dorothy Traver Miller.
Shirley was a full time factory worker at 84 years old; she worked as a Packer at Voyant Beauty. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family and extended family. Shirley was known as Mom and Grandma to anybody who met her, and helped raise not only her children but all the neighborhood children.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Harold Chamberlain II, two sons Harold Chamberlain III, George (Vickie) Chamberlain, five daughters, Holly Uzailko, Dorothy Amo, Linda McKinney, Gladys (Shawn) Larson, Barbara (Walter Thomas) Chamberlain, one brother, Bob Miller, four sisters, Betty Daugherty, Dottie Carr, Charlotte (Duane) Holmes, Linda (Debra) Miller, several grandchildren, Heather Covington, Amber Uzialko-Raymond, Peggy Vestal, Harold Chamberlain IIII, Thomas Chamberlain, Shaun Neff, Shirley Chamberlain, Christopher Amo, Michael Chamberlain, George Chamberlain, Lauren Chamberlain, Zakarra Butts, Michael Larson, Jacob Mager, Isabella DiPietro, several great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Shirley is predeceased by her son, Carl Chamberlain, grandson, Thomas Uzialko, Jr., great grandson, Maverick Raymond, three sisters, Alice Locke, Dolores Thompson, Jean Kany, three brothers, George Miller, Jack Miller, Voyle "Beaver" Miller.
Calling hours will be 11:00 AM – 12:45 PM Thursday at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 PM. Spring Burial will take place in Cortland Rural Cemetery.
