Obituary of David Greene

David Greene, 83, of Cortland, NY passed away peacefully on January 15, 2022 in Cortland. A lifetime resident of Cortland, he attended Cortland High School, and worked at GLF and then Agway for his lengthy career. He is now reunited with his wife of 57 years, Judie, his parents Byron (Mabel) Greene, Harriet (Stan) Merithew, one step brother, three step sisters, and several sibling in laws. He is survived by his son Dan, daughter Kellie Wheeler (Brian), Granddaughters Ashley (Noah) Monge and Amanda (Tim) Wychocki, his great grandson Canaan, his step brothers Layton (Kathy), Glenn (Cindy) Merithew, his stepsisters Dee (Alan) Shilling, Laura (Robert) Gililand, and several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. A memorial service will be planned in the spring at the Cortland Rural Cemetery. Please share condolences at Wright-Beard Funeral Home.
