Obituary of Eugene J. Donahue

Eugene J. Donahue Jr., 74, of Moravia passed away Monday, January 17, 2022 at the Syracuse Veterans Hospital. He was born on May 3, 1947 in Cortland to his parents, the late Eugene J. Donahue Sr. and Helen Fox. Eugene was a proud United States Marine Corp Veteran, serving in Vietnam. He was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and a Rifle Marksman Badge. Eugene loved his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and his classic 1951 Ford Truck. He enjoyed being outside, hunting, fishing, feeding the squirels and watching the birds. Eugene is survived by his loving wife Bertha; his children Brian, Karen, Lori, and Heather; step-children Brenda, Edward and Jeffrey; his sisters Anita and Debbie; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. A calling hour will take place at 2pm on Saturday January 29, 2022 at the Crown Alliance Church, 1 Bellevue Ave in Cortland. Funeral services will take place at 3pm at the Church.
