Jeffrey L. Tarbell, 67, of McGraw, passed away February 3, 2022 at Crouse Irving hospital, Syracuse NY. He was born February 16, 1954 in Cortland the son of the late Richard "Dick" and Marjorie Fish Tarbell.
Jeff was a lifelong resident of the area. He and his wife Sheila were owner operators of Malarkey's Pub & Grub in McGraw. Jeff was also infamously known for his remarkable time touring with several local well known bands, then with main stream bands, Rainbow and Bon Jovi. Jeff was also a talented auto body man, working over the years for a few local shops and his own shop Tarbell Custom Auto Body. He was a proud "Poppy", he took joy in his many achievements, building his camp, golfing and any other activity that included fun. He will be greatly missed by so many.
He is survived by his wife Sheila Tarbell, his son Jason (Celeste) Tarbell, his daughter Pamela (Thomas) Cullip, his brother James Tarbell, his sister Jerilyn "Jill" Tarbell, his grandchildren Matthew, Maegan, Madison, Mason, Taylor, Brielle and Hillary.
Calling hours will be held 2:00-5:00 pm on Monday Feb. 7 at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, 13045. Spring burial will be at the McGraw Cemetery. A celebration of Jeff's life will be held at the St. Charles Hotel, Central Ave, Cortland immediately following the calling hours on Monday.
