Obituary of Frances A. Wood

Frances Wood, 86, of Cortland, passed away February 2, 2022 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse. She was born August 19, 1935 in Auburn, NY a daughter of the late Kenneth & Jessie Green Ward. She was a caring, giving loving person. Frances was always willing to help anyone no matter what she was going through. When her children were little Frances spent her time at home taking care of them, after her children got older she was an attendant at Kleen Korner Laundromat and really liked the people she met while working there. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was always up for a trip to the Casino Mrs. Wood is survived by her son Kevin (Cheryl) Wood, her daughter Kellie (Lynn Baker) Wood, a brother, Gerald Ward, a sister Janet Ferris, several nieces and nephews, as well as several great and great great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Walter Wood, Calling hours will be 4-6 PM Tuesday at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc. 9 Lincoln Ave Cortland, NY.
