Obituary of Barbara J. Brooks

Barbara J. Brooks, 83, of Dryden, NY, passed away on February 18, 2022. Born March 17, 1938 in Cortland, NY. She was the daughter of the late Mary L. Brooks and R. Eugene Brooks. Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. In her free time she enjoyed cooking, knitting, doing puzzles, and caring for her beloved K9 companion KC Jane. She is survived by her children, R. James (Terri) Carmon, Carl Carmon, Andrea (Tim) Tobin, Colleen Vasquez, and Wendy Compagni, her siblings Virginia Rodriguez, and Ransom Brooks, her grandchildren: Jenna, Brittney, Cameron, Carrie, Joshua, Zachary, Elizabeth, Jessica, Kelly, Lacie, Ashley, Brent, a special niece Molly Rodriguez, and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Cheryl Carmon and her sister Margaret Coit. There will be no services at this time. A graveside service and celebration of life will be announced in the spring.
