I have many fond memories of Uncle John. My favorites include putting together an undersea puzzle with Aunt Florence that we tucked under the couch and continued on their next visit south; trying to glue that puzzle together once it was completed; and, most of all, the visit when he reserved a boat so we could go open water diving. Unfortunately, the waves were too high to go out that day and we had to change our plans. We went to Blue Spring instead, and followed the spring run up to the boil and dove down into the spring. It was such a memorable afternoon that I think of it often with great happiness and gratitude. One of my favorite memories of Uncle John is from my wedding day when he spent the entire afternoon dancing with family. His smile and lighthearted energy filled the room with joy. Whenever I think of him, I think of how carefree he was that day and that brings a smile to my face. I also cherish the homemade cards he sent us over the years. It meant a great deal to know he poured his time and love into his holiday greetings. He was a true family man and I'm so grateful I got to know a bit more about Uncle John through the fond stories shared by Jon and Barbara. He will be missed by many, but I like to think he's dancing with friends and loved ones in Heaven now. Enjoy Eternal Peace, Uncle John. - Jon and Cheryl
