Howard E. “Bud” Abbott Jr., 63, of Cortland passed away March 26, 2022. He was born November 1, 1958 in Cortland NY.
Bud was a lifelong resident of the area. Before becoming unable to work he was employed at the Elm Tree Golf course and Smith Corona. Bud enjoyed Sunday NASCAR Racing, going to Thunder Mountain and Skyline raceway. In his later years he enjoyed going out on the road trucking with his nephew Eric Storie.
He is survived by his sisters Debra Abbott, Shirley (Jerry)Rulison, his brothers F. Scott (Pam) Abbott, William Abbott, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bud was predeceased by his parents Howard and Dorothy Abbott, and his brothers David Abbott and Donald Abbott.
There are no services. He will be buried at the Virgil Cemetery on the family plot.
