Obituary of Kim L. Snow

On Friday, May 20th 2022, Kim Snow lost her battle against cancer at the age of 64. Kim was born on January 22, 1958 in Plattsburgh, NY to Helen and Forrest Snow. She received her education at SUNY Cortland in 1981 and spent 39 years teaching English in area schools before retiring from Dryden High School in 2019. Kim had a great zeal for life, spending her time hiking, camping, and raising dogs. She was well known in the community for her impact to students' lives throughout her career. In retirement she enjoyed supporting the Cortland County Meals on Wheels program. She is pre-deceased by her parents Helen and Forrest Snow, as well as her soulmate and wife of 35 years Laurie Tinkham. She is survived by her daughter Kami Tinkham of Fort Collins, CO, her siblings Peg (Rob) Hart and Paul Snow of AuSable Forks, NY, and her partner Denice Cassaro of Ithaca, NY, and several nieces and nephews, cherished family friends, and four-legged companions. Calling hours will be held at Wright-Beard Funeral Home in Cortland from 11 AM - 1 PM on Thursday May 26th, with a memorial service immediately to follow.
