Grandpa not a day goes by we don’t miss you! I wish you could have seen your Great Granddaughter when she came to visit! Wish you could have been here to celebrate your other Great Granddaughter 18th Birthday! Your Great Grandson did what he promised you before you passed he graduated high school!!! We love you and miss you! Till we meet again enjoy being with Grandma!

I will always keep a special place in my heart for the memorable times I spent with Melvin. We both cried tears of joy one day in the back of a cab after being told some amazing news that even though he loved to, he would never “need” to chop wood again. And that he would be able to get back home sooner than he expected bc a wheelchair ramp was going to be built so he could enter his house safely. He was an inspiration with a heart of gold. Kudos to his family for being his biggest loving advocates! Love to you. Micheline McCabe :)

I have many childhood memories of time spent with different members and branches of the Tinker family. My favorite of Melvin is the huge squash he used to bring to the Scott UMC auctions each year. A good man who will be deeply missed. God grant you peace and fill your hearts with love as you remember all that was and is special about Melvin.
