Obituary of Robert Perry Mudge

Robert Perry Mudge, of Crossville, TN, formerly of Cortland, NY, passed away May 10, 2022. Robert was the son of the late Charles and Florence Knox Mudge. Prior to his retirement, Robert had held various positions with Redding-Hunter, Inc. He also worked as a Drafting Supervisor at Brockway Trucks of Cortland, NY, and Mack Trucks of Allentown, PA. Robert achieved the rank of Eagle Scout with Boy Scouts of America. He attended a Technical School in Utica, NY for Drafting and Design. He sat on the Board of Directors as treasurer of the Central New York Living History Center that consists of the Brockway Museum, Homeville Museum, and Tractors of Yesteryear. He was an avid skeet shooter with the Groton Gun Club, and enjoyed hunting, nature walks, and volunteering at the museum. In addition, he enjoyed traveling; especially to international destinations. He once restored a Ford Falcon, and drove it round trip for upstate NY to Alaska. Robert is survived by his wife of 52 years, Bonnie Mudge of Crossville, TN, and sister Linda (Jack) Clark of Ocala, FL, his niece Lisa (Hunter) Moore of NJ, and his nephew Mark (Kristin and their son Orion Timothy) MacDougal of NJ. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Charles Mudge Jr. A memorial service will take place on Monday June 20, 2022 at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc. beginning at 11am..
