Ross H. McKinney 53 of Cortland passed away unexpectedly December 17, 2011.
Ross was born November 5, 1958 in Ithaca, the son of George and Winifred Maxim McKinney.
Ross had been a member of Bricklayers Union Local 3 of Syracuse.
He was an avid golfer and NACAR fan, and enjoyed motorcycling but most of all spending time with his family and friends.
Ross is survived by his wife Linda, his mother Winifred McKinney, brothers Michael (Pam) McKinney of Cortland, Alan ( Kristen) McKinney of Guilderland, sister Helen (Mike) Rodemyer of Fort Worth, Texas, his stepson Michael Chamberlain of Cortland, his mother and father in law Harold and Shirley Chamberlain Jr., several nieces and nephews, and his beloved canine companion Duke.
Ross was predeceased by his father George in 2000.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5 - 7 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home9 Lincoln Ave.
Funeral services andinterment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

I have known Ross since we were in Pomeroy School together and although we havent seen each other in many years I will always remember his smile and sence of humor .
