Edward Roger Thomas, 88, of Cold Brook Road, Homer, N.Y. passed away on October
15 th , 2022, in Cortland.
Edward was born November 9th ,1933, in Lisle, the youngest son of Ruth Louise and
Leonard Burdette.
Edward was a farmer and logger by trade, and a devoted husband, father, and
grandfather. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed spending time with his beloved family, and a
rumored horse thief.
Edward is survived by his six children, Rodger (Becky) Thomas of Cuyler, Lloyd
(Tammy) Thomas of Texas, Lowell (Michelle) Thomas of Solon, Dorothy Partis of Homer,
Penny Thomas of McGraw, and Brenda Lisi of Elmira; ten grandchildren; eleven great-
grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents and siblings Clarence, Earl, Kenneth, and Ruby, Edward was
predeceased by his wife, Doris Jeanette Thomas, and infant son, John.
Private services will be held for Edward’s immediate family and a celebration of life will
follow.
