Bradley A. Smith, 62, of Cortland, NY, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022, in Webster, NY.
Brad was born in Cortland on May 5, 1960, to George C. and Elaine Pierce Smith.
He was a 1978 graduate of Homer Central High School and a 1982 graduate of SUNY Geneseo with a degree in speech communication and a minor in public relations.
Brad had an extensive career in TV and radio production in Rochester, NY, and Austin, TX. Recently he was heard on the morning show at WXHC 101.5 in Homer, NY. He was employed as a team supervisor for SSO LLC. He was currently on-air at WXXI in Rochester.
Brad is survived by his wife, Suzanne, and his children, Adam, and Danielle of Webster, NY. He was a devoted father, as they were his pride and joy. Brad enjoyed watching Buffalo Bills and New York Yankee games with his family. He and Adam also liked to watch Syracuse football and basketball games together.
He is also survived by his mother, Elaine, his sisters Sharon (Daniel) Tier, Catherine Hybels, and Cheryl Smith as well as his nieces and nephews, Emily and Nicolas Tier, Kaitlin Osborne, and Kevin and Justin Hybels. He was predeceased by his father.
Brad's family will miss his running commentary on radio and news programs as well as his "Dad jokes".
Services will be private. Wright-Beard Funeral Home of Cortland is handling the arrangements.
