Obituary of Merwin William Wood

Merwin William Wood, 84 of Cortland, passed away on December 9, 2022. He was born on August 18, 1938, in Syracuse, NY to his parents the late Kenneth Wood and Arlene Stanton Wood and grew up in Camillus. Upon completing his education, Merwin enlisted in the United States Coast Guard, serving for 11 years in many states including Alaska, Michigan, and New York. He was a member of the Morning Star Masonic Lodge and the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association). Merwin also enjoyed being Amateur Radio Operator NB2M; an activity that introduced him to his beloved wife of 29 years, Vicky. Merwin worked for Federal Express, now FedEx, and retired as a delivery driver. He is survived by his wife Victoria Clark-Wood; a son Kenneth (Julie) Wood, a sister Nancy Karins; and several nieces and nephews. There are no services scheduled at this time.
