Obituary of Elmer Slack

Elmer F. Slack, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2022. Elmer was born on July 29, 1936. He attended Truxton Schools where he met the love of his life Margaret Agnes Riley and were later married 1955. Elmer was a kind loving man whose family meant everything to him. He was a well-known contractor throughout the area for many years. He was predeceased by his wife Peg, his parents, siblings, and daughter-in-law Susie. Elmer and Peg loved Country Music and could often be found dancing up a storm at the Cortland Country Music Park where they were founding members. Elmer is survived by three loving children, Garry (Joanne Aloi), Kevin (Deb), and Pam (Mike) Williams. Grandchildren Taylar, Pashlee, Kory, Melissa, Nathan, Chad, Nicole; great-grandchildren, and his loving companion Jan Murray. Calling hours will be Thursday December 29, 2022 from 11 to 1pm with funeral services beginning at 1pm. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in the Spring. In lieu of flower contributions, donations can be made to the Country Music Park.
