Obituary of William "Bill" L. Marcey

William L. "Bill" Marcey, 72 of Cortland passed away on January 10, 2023 at Crown Park Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born July 27, 1950 a son of the late Maurice and Kathryn Church Marcey. Bill worked at E E Root construction for several years. He was an avid New York Giants fan, huge NASCAR fan and loved spending his time doing crossword puzzles. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Eva Marcey, son, William "Jeff" (Suzette) Marcey, his brother, Peter (Prudence) Marcey, sisters, Renee Gates, Lonnie Marcey, Grace (Ron) Overbaugh, Roberta (Ed) Mahler, Laura (Ed) Jones, two grandchildren, Novalei and Colin Marcey and several nieces and nephews. Bill is predeceased by his sister, Julia Baker and Mary Marcey, and a brother John Marcey. Calling hours will be 4-6 PM Friday, at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc. 9 Lincoln Ave. Cortland. Spring burial will be in North Pitcher Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please plant a tree in Bill's memory or donate to a charity of your choice.
