Obituary of Alicia Louis

Alicia Louis, 45, of Cortland, NY passed away on Thursday January 19, 2023. She was born on September 12, 1977 in Cortland, NY. While her death was unexpected, Alicia suffered from drug addiction over the past 10 years. It is a disease that consumed the beautiful person that she was. It changed the lives of her loved ones who tried desperately to save her. Prior to Alicia’s disease, she was a beautiful mother. She loved to cook, shop, and spend time with her children. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed taking care of people and even worked for hospice and in the trauma unit as a nurse. Alicia was survived by her children Aysia and Tahjay Louis, and their loving father Jamon Louis, her grandmother Thola Redfield, her mother Diane Foote (Paul Gutchess), her father Patrick (Leisha) Redfield, her brother Justin Redfield, her sister Caitlin Redfield, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by her cousin John Vosburgh. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday January 24, 2023 from 1-2 at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland, NY.
