Obituary of Wayne Moore

Wayne D. Moore of Royal Palm Beach, Florida Formally from Solon/Cortland/Lafayette, New York Passed away March 4, 2023. He was 81 years old. Born November 21, 1941 to Neva Leahy and Peter Moore. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Barbara J. Moore In November 2006 and his Brother, Dale R. Moore of Cortland, New York in February 2021. He is survived by his son Keith H. Moore his wife Karin of Royal Palm Beach, Florida. His granddaughter Maritsa E. Moore of Orlando, Florida. Wayne worked in the Automotive Industry all his life. In Polkville, New York he owned his own Sunoco station repairing cars. He was Service Director for Cortland Foreign Motors in Cortland, New York. He was Service Director for Finnegan Volkswagen Porsche/Audi in North Syracuse. Throughout his career he won several awards with Volkswagen and is Credited for starting the CSI Award Program for the automotive industry. From 1989-2004 Wayne and Barbara owned and operated Sunquest Tanning in Lafayette, New York. From 2005 to 2016 he worked for Schumacher Auto Group, responsible for building repairs and modifications, doing most of the work himself. Wayne could build anything, fix anything and design anything.
