I'm sorry for your loss of a wonderful person who was caring and a friend. May you all have good thoughts of your wife and mother and not sorrowful ones. She is in better place now.

One of the fondest memories with Aunt Donna is when I visited my parents in Florida. My mother (Donna's younger sister Janet) wanted to go on a drive. I don't remember where we were going, but my mother was the driver, Donna was the navigator and my grandmother (Donna and Janet's mother Alice) and I were in the back seat. It started out fine until my mother had to get some coffee. Since we stopped at a place where we can get drinks, we all got something for the road. During the checkout, I remember my grandmother saying that "This will be a interesting tip."
Back on the road we went. Mind you were driving in St. Petersburg and it was loaded with crazy driver, my mother being one of them. As my mother was drinking her coffee and trying to drive at the same time, she decided to lite a cigarette. My grandmother, in a stern voice, asked her to put it out and concentrate on driving. Donna was trying really hard to locate the place my mother wanted to go to. I stated, that it my beneficial to stop and ask someone. My grandmother spoke up and said, "Oh no! that would be to easy." I myself was trying to make calls to get my grandmother's insurance straightened out. I was not making much headway as the volume of the two "Thelma and Louise" in the front were getting lost. Donna asked my mom if she wanted to switch place and my mother said, "I think I know where this place is." My mother was making bad choices in her driving effort as my grandmother and I were scared and laughing at the same time. Making statement that cracked Donna up. Her quips made my grandmother and I laugh even harder. For the life of me I can't remember if we ever found the place my mother was looking for. But I do remember Donna telling my father the story and the way she told, cracked my grandmother and I up. My mother and father traded funny quips which made Donna laugh as much as my grandmother and I were laughing. Circa 2005
