Obituary of Patrick "Pat" Grinnell

Patrick “Pat” Grinnell, 58, of Cortland NY, passed away suddenly May 12, 2023 while working. He was born November 1, 1964 in Cortland, the son of the late William and Elizabeth Grinnell. Pat was a lifelong resident of Cortland graduating from Cortland High School. Over the years he worked as a mason, iron workers, and general construction. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, and loved NASCAR, camping, and yearly trips to Dover. Most of all he cherished his time with family and friends. He is survived by his girlfriend Kathy Burch and her family, his son Michael (Nicole) Grinnell, his sister Lori (Brian) Lawless, and many grandchildren. Pat was predeceased by his parents William and Betty Grinnell, his brothers Michael and William, and his sisters Cindy and Diana. A private graveside service will be held at the Scott Union Cemetery. There are no calling hours or services. A celebration of Life will be held at the family’s convenience.
