Carol,
I was sorry to learn about Doug’s passing. I was happy to see him, after so many years, when we all happened to be at the Glen Haven School. Doug and I had gone to the Milne School in Albany.
Sending heartfelt condolences. May his memory be a blessing

Dear Carol and family, so many great times with you two travelling to Lake Placid in the Fall and all the fun times on the lake in the summer, as well as having you visit us in Ft.Myers. Now, as we did in 1993, please try remember the good times and that he's probably looking up Jimmy to play golf.

Carol,
You know how saddened we were to hear of Doug’s illness. I remember we met at the Mandana Inn, bonding over the terrible 911 event and then subsequently many wonderful visits at the dock, Patty’s annual party and of course the Fall Seafood fest at the Sherwood Inn.
What a wonderful life you two had together and so glad you are in our lives. We will see you soon. Dilly would love to see you.
Love, Chris Banke & Melinda (Mel) Carney
We would love to attend the service for Doug if we can and you’d be so inclined to have friends.

I enjoyed Shooting with Doug at the Homer Rod and Gun Club, as did my husband John and and Father James Fellows. Doug was a great guy, always a smile and a laugh.

The 4th of July and other times won't be the same without Doug's cannon fire. I remember the little kids jumping when it went off to welcome the Mailboat.
Well remembered
