Obituary of Jeffrey Fairchild

Jeffrey B. Fairchild, 68, passed away June 15, 2023 in Cortland, NY. He was born, raised and lived his entire life in Cortland. He is predeceased by his wife Heather Fairchild, his parents George and Camilla Fairchild, his brother Stephen Fairchild, and his sister Cindy Moreland. He is survived by his daughter Miranda Fairchild and granddaughter Camilla of Cortland, NY, sister Dixie (Tom Jamieson) Fairchild, of Honeoye Falls, NY; brother-in-law Richard Moreland of Homer, NY; sister-in-law Kim Hasenjager of Groton, NY and Heidi Hasenjager of Groton, NY and their families; nephew Mark (Angelina) Fairchild of Jupiter, FL and their children David, Sarah, and George; nephew Gabe (Terry) Fairchild of Hendersonville, TN; cousins Burt (Barb) Fairchild, George Fairchild, and Karen Prave. Jeff retired in 2018 from the Building Care Dept. at Cornell University. He enjoyed the companionship pf his cats "Elmer" and "Ru" in recent years. He was a big fan of the Beatles and was fortunate enough to see both Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney in concerts. Jeff was a devoted Son, Husband, Father, & Grandfather.
