I was honored to share our love of music together at the piano, singing beautiful hymns. Dan knew all the words from memory and sang them from his heart. His strong, unwavering faith in the face of such unknown challenges before him was a blessing and encouragement to me. God speed, Dan!

Condolences to the Camp and various extended families. I knew Dan as a friend during our common winters (~19 years) at the Kawama Yacht Club in Key Largo, FL. Dan always had a project going whether it was picking up the beach and shoreline or the edges of the Mangroves. He learned the sport of Pickball and was a regular player for several years, and his bike was his humble mode of transportation. He made a point of getting around and visiting regularly. Dan will be missed.

Dan is a person I will never forget. He helped me so much with walking my dog Maggie. When she saw him her tail started wagging and she pulled me in the direction where he was. She often scratched on his door at his unit in Kawama. I had some health issues and Dan helped me so much. Dan was very musical and I loved his smile during line dancing sometimes he did not know the steps but he kept on moving and smiling. Maggie and I will always remember him and will always love him!

We only knew Dan for the last 4 years at Kawama. We were so impressed with his daily beach clean-up. And, I really enjoyed playing Pickleball with him.
He will be missed.

Enjoyed seeing Dan on the beach at Kawama, cleaning debris from the surf. Always with a smile. A gentle person.

I first met Dan at Kawama during my first year as a Snowbird. I rarely saw him when he wasn't smiling! He was a kind man who loved his family. He was also a friend of the earth. Everyday I would see him at the beach with a bag, picking up garbage and taking it away in the bag to the pickup area. Dan was the first snowbird I saw who made it his purpose to keep our ocean clean!!
I was happy to have met Dan at Kawama! May Joyce and all of Dan’s family’s memories of Dan give them comfort in their grief.

I never remember seeing Dan without a smile on his face. He’s in good hands now - with an extra big smile, the warmth of which everyone in Heaven feels.
