Obituary of Yvonne Trivisonno

Yvonne Trivisonno, 85, of Cortland, NY passed away on Saturday July 29, 2023. She was born on
October 5, 1937, the daughter of the late Harry and Julia Tarby Carter.
Yvonne was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister,
aunt and friend. She loved cooking, baking cookies, crafts, and her grandchildren were her pride
and joy. After high school graduation Yvonne started her career as a beautician at Rose's Beauty
Salon. Eventually she worked for many years at the Cortland YMCA as a swim instructor
leading to her becoming the aquatic and summer camp director. In her career, she taught
hundreds of people from infants to seniors how to swim. Yvonne and her husband were very
involved with the YMCA swim team where they had the opportunity to travel with the Stingers
near and far.
Yvonne is survived by her husband Angelo (Chubby) Trivisonno, her children Michael (Anne)
Trivisonno, Angelo (Lisa) Trivisonno Jr. and Julie (Robert) Pace, her siblings Richard (Michelle)
Carter and Diane Art, grandchildren Katie (Nick) Spatola, Ryan (Stacey) Trivisonno, Erika
(Damon) DeLuca, Danielle (Brian) Darcangelo, Anthony (Chelsea) Faulisi, Michaela Trivisonno,
Amanda (Coty) Cute, Christopher (Katelin) Pace and 14 great grandchildren. Besides her family,
Yvonne was surrounded by caring and supportive neighbors.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Peter and
Dora Trivisonno, brother-in-law Carmen Trivisonno and brother-in-law Robert Granato.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday August 2, 2023 from 5-7pm at the Wright-Beard
Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland, NY. A memorial service will take place Thursday August
3, 2023 at 10 am, at Wright-Beard Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery,
Rt. 281, Cortland, NY. Please join the family at 12:30pm at the Cortland Elks Club, 9 Groton Ave.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cortland YMCA Swim Team.
The family would like to extend special recognition to the staff at Crown Nursing and
Rehabilitation Center and Cortland Guthrie Medical Center, especially the nurses, aides, doctors
and staff on 2C who took care of her on her final days.
