Obituary of Morris Rosen
Please share a memory of Morris to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On Thursday July 27, 2023, God called home Morris Rosen, the greatest man ever to walk in a pair of shoes. He was born on August 27, 1949, the son of the late David and Charolette Cooper Rosen.
Morris was a loving father, brother, grandfather, and friend. Morris was a hard worker and proudly ran his own business, Rosen and Son Recycling. To his children, he was a teacher and role model, passing on his love and knowledge of hunting, fishing, working hard, and how to be a good man. Thirty-one years ago, Morris was given one year to live after being diagnosed with cancer, but Morris showed you cannot keep a Rosen down, giving his family thirty more wonderful years with him. Morris will be greatly missed by many. Knowing he is no longer suffering brings his family peace and reassurance that he is dancing in Heaven, drinking his Miller-Lite, and enjoying his Beech-Nut tobacco.
Morris is survived by his sons Kevin (Lisa) Rosen and John (Christine Poppe) Rosen, his siblings David Rosen, Michael Rosen, Chiqueta Thompson, and Wendy Bergman, and his grandchildren Allison, Jillian, Colton, and Madelyn.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife Margaret Rosen, and his daughter Allison Rosen.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday August 5, 2023 from 11am-12:45pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland, NY.
