Obituary of Jane E. Vieou

Jane E. Vieou, 78 of Homer passed away on August 4, 2023 at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center. She was born on November 2, 1944 in Ithaca a daughter of Violet Tanner. Jane worked at Smith- Corona until her retirement in 1994 . Then she worked for Ames linen. Jane's hobbies were crocheting; relaxing and watching TV; cooking with grandkids; checking on her rose bushes, snowball tree and lilac tree; reading her cookbooks; doing her word search books; spending time with Grandkids and Great Grandkids and most of all taking care of and enjoying her loving husband and kids. She crocheted 150 hats for children at the Homer Elementary School. Jane is survived by her loving husband, Marvel, her two sons, Francis and Darrin Vieou, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, her mother, Violet DaBall, a brother David Tanner and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 11 AM on Saturday, August 19 at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc. 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland.
