I had the pleasure and opportunity to work for Fitts and Fitts attorneys back in the late 80's. Morris had just retired and so had his scretary of 40 years. Those were big shoes to fill and Calvert was my mentor and took me under his wing. He saw something in me that I didn't see in myself. Because of that encouragement, leadership and hands on teaching; I was able to prosper with the knowledge he taught me, go back to college and get my degree in criminal justice.I became certified in real estate and also became a certfied paralegal and a member of the NC Bar Association. That one kind gesture changed my life and opened a window of opportunity for me. I am so thankful I wrote him a letter to thank him a few years back and he actually called me astonished that I sent him that letter. May God continue to comfort Tricia and Jeff and the rest of his family and give them peaceful memories. Rest in peace my friend. Anne Renee Bodell Bakersville, NC
