Obituary of Debra M. Bush

Debra Mary "Debbie" Bush, 62, of Cortland, NY, passed away on August 4, 2023, following a brief illness. Debbie was born in Cortland to the late Carl and Lorena (Wyatt) Weishaupt on July 3, 1961. She was a graduate of Cortland High School and graduated in 1979. She went on to study Human Services at Tompkins Cortland Community College. She worked as a Case Manager for the Cortland County Area Agency on Aging for 25 years. Debbie is survived by her husband, Glenn "Skip" Bush Jr., her son Wyatt (Victoria) Bush, her daughter Walker Bush, her sister Dianne (David) Bickerton, her niece Cassie Hemming, and several cousins and lifelong friends. Debbie believed in living life to its fullest. She was a joy to be around. Truly a beautiful and extremely kind and loving person who was passionate about helping the people in her life. She enjoyed traveling and being in the sun. She loved spending time with her friends and family. Calling hours will be held on Friday August 11, 2023, from 4pm-6pm at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave, Cortland, NY. A funeral service will follow at 6pm. In keeping with Debbie's wishes, she will be cremated.
