Evelyn A Williams 80, passed away November 18, 2011 in Groton Nursing Home. Evelyn was born April 24, 1931 in Taylor the daughter of the late Walter and Jenney Rice. Evelyn had been employed at Smith Corona and Continental Cortege, she was an avid bingo player, enjoyed crocheting, fishing but most of all she enjoyed cooking for her family. Evelyn is survived by her children Eugene and Donald Williams of DeRuyter, Joanne Williams of Cincinnatus, Cheryl Williams of Cortland, 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Frank Williams Sr, son Frank Williams Jr. and her brothers and sisters. Funeral Services will be held 2:30 pm on Wednesday at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home 9 Lincoln Ave. with the Reverend Alan J. Ferguson officiating interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Friends are invited to call from 1:30- 2:30 pm prior to the service.
