Linda J. Withers, 75, of Cortland, NY passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023, surrounded by her loved
ones. She was born on November 13, 1947, the daughter of the late Carlton and Delia Smith Elwood.
Linda was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her hobbies included
knitting, quilting, and crafts. Linda loved spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies and
great-grandbabies.
Linda is survived by her children Robert (Penny) Withers, Michelle (Allan) Stauber, Vickie Withers, and
Debra (John) Holland, her siblings Roland (Nancy) Elwood, Lilla Towers, and Joyce Warren, her
grandchildren Jenna (Houston), Austin (Abigail), Sierra (Anthony), Asia (Spencer), Dakota (Vanessa), Eric
James (Shannon), and her great-grandchildren Dorothy, Lorelai, Magnolia, Isaiah, Jordan, and Cecelia,
and her beloved cat Simba.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Richard Withers, her sister Lois
Taraszkiewicz, and her brother Russell Elwood.
