Carolene Kinney, 90, of Blodgett Mills NY, passed away November 11, 2011 surrounded by family. She was born September 9, 1921 in Homer NY, daughter of the late Ray and Caroline Hall Mudge. Mrs. Kinney was an area resident all her life. She retired from SUNY Cortland Auxillary Services after twenty years of employment. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, tending to flowers, and word search. Her family will cherish her memory as being a loving, kind, and patient person. She is survived by her sons John (Charlotte) Kinney, Earl Kinney, Robert (Gail) Kinney, her daughters Nettie (Robert) Ransom, Lida (Lewis) Genson, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband John and children Shirley and Ray. A calling hour will be held Wednesday 10-11 am with a funeral to begin 11 am at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, 13045. Burial will follow at the Atwater Cemetery, Homer NY.
