Brenda Sue Scutt, 57, of Cincinnatus NY a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, departed this world on November 20th, 2023 leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories.
Born on January 17th 1966 , Brenda was full of kindness and generosity, devoted to her family and friends. Her nurturing spirit created a home filled with love and laughter. Brenda found joy in the simple pleasures of life. An avid crafter, her creative touch adorned homes with handmade treasures that will be cherished for generations. She loved cooking, fishing and spending time with her dogs. For many years, she took pride in her role as cafeteria manager at DeRuyter School going above and beyond for the students and school community.
Above all, Brenda loved being a Grammy, her eyes would light up with joy at the sound of little footsteps and laughter. She showered her grandchildren with boundless love, creating a haven of warmth and acceptance that will forever be etched in their hearts.
Brenda is survived by her husband Charles Scutt, her children Thomas (Robbyn) Rowe, Na’Lisa (Joe) Hussar, Rylee Barker, Trisha Macomber, her niece Cheri Miller, 32 grandchildren, and 4 loving sisters-in-law.
She is predeceased by her father Charles (Helen) Miller, her mother Dora Miller, her sister Wendi Barker and her son Chuckie Scutt.
May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love she so generously shared with the world.
Calling hours will be held on Monday November 27, 2023 from 4-7pm, at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland, NY. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday November 28, 2023 at 10am, at the Faith Baptist Church, 1731 State Route 13 North, Cortland, NY. Burial will follow at the Willow Glen Cemetery on Route 13, Dryden, NY. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Dryden VFW , 2272 Dryden Rd, after the services (12-4pm).
