William Albert Nemec of Cortland, New York, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at age 82.
Born on October 6, 1941, the son of Dr. Frank Albert and Marian (nee Buck) Nemec (both deceased), nephew of James Edward and Mary (nee Reilly) Nemec (both deceased) and brother of Edward James and Ann (nee Jervis) Nemec (both deceased). Bill retired from the United States Navy after two tours of duty. He enjoyed many hobbies including skeet shooting, archery, and cooking.
He leaves behind nieces Kim (nee Nemec) and husband Timothy Paddock, and Kris Perkins (nee Nemec) and partner Joseph Ross, and nephews, Jeffrey Nemec and wife Robin, and Michael Nemec and wife Brenda and Mark Nemec and wife Laura. He also leaves behind cousin, Stephanie Nemec Hunt (Bill), and many great nieces and nephews and beloved friends John and Beverly Poli. Private
Funeral and Interment service to be held by the family at Soule Cemetery, Auburn, New York.
