Obituary of Harry D. Newcomb

Auburn NY Harry D Newcomb went to be with the Lord on January 27, 2024 at Finger Lakes Center for Living, Auburn NY. He was a graduate of DeRuyter Central School and attended Cortland State University before becoming an automobile dealer for Ford Motor Co. in Cuyler NY. He and his family subsequently purchased and successfully ran the Ford dealership in Cortland until his retirement. A member of the Board of Directors for First National Bank of Cortland, he travelled extensively with family and friends. An avid sportsman living on DeRuyter Lake, he enjoyed retirement with his wife of over 70 years Muriel before moving to Walden Oakes in Cortland. Survived by his sister Joan Lockwood and son William Newcomb, his calling hours will be Saturday February 3 from 11 am to 1 pm at Wright Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave, Cortland NY with internment in the spring. The family respectfully requests donations in lieu of flowers to Westminster Manor Memorial Fund, 81 South St, Auburn NY 13021.
