Obituary of Brenda Y. Dafoe

Brenda Dafoe, 65, of Cortland went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2024 at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre PA. She was born June 10, 1958 in Massena NY, the daughter of the late George and Jean Patnode Dafoe. She was a graduate of Cortland High School class of 1976. She worked at the Nassau Coliseum for many years as a journeyman carpenter. Throughout her life she enjoyed playing many sports as well as attending sporting events. She took pleasure in traveling, camping, baking in the sun, tinkering outside but her greatest joy was her family and her animals. She is survived by her siblings Deborah Dafoe, Diana Dafoe, Ellen Krueger, many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews who she cherished dearly. She was predeceased by her parents, and siblings Karen, Kathleen, and George. Calling hours will be Monday February 12th from 4-7 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, 13045. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday 10:30 am at St. Mary's Church, Cortland. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all.
