Obituary of Linda Enders

Linda Mae Enders, 82, formerly of Cortland, NY, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024, in Knoxville, TN. Linda was born in Cortland, NY on November 8, 1941, the eldest child of Morris and Eleanor Congdon. As a young mother, Linda worked for many years at Smith-Corona. She later worked at Valley Motors as the manager of their rental car operation. Linda met the love of her life, Jake Enders, in 1985. They were married December 30, 1989. Linda and Jake enjoyed nothing more than spoiling their grandchildren. Linda enjoyed berry picking, canning and gardening. In the winter months she liked watching Hallmark movies and playing video games. Linda was predeceased by her husband, Jake; parents, Morris and Eleanor; sisters, Diane Hart and Marlene Tinker; brother-in-law, Neil Tinker and a close family friend, Janice Ruger. She is survived by her sister, Sue Congdon and brother John (Cheri) Congdon; sons Gary (Debbie) Howe, Jr. and Lynn Howe; daughter, Cheryl Race; grandchildren Erica Cesario, Jesse Howe, Amy (Mike) Albro, Amber (Jeff) Lyon, Jeffery (Kaitlyn) Howe, Amanda Race, Bryan Howe; nine great-grandchildren and other grandchildren she thought of as her own, as well as many nieces and nephews. Her role as mother and grandmother was lovingly emphasized. Linda loved them unconditionally. She was a strong, caring and generous woman, sharing love with all and she will be greatly missed.
