Darrell cherished his time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He enjoyed long car rides and was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed camping trips. Above all things he enjoyed spending most of his time at home, the mornings drinking coffee, afternoons tinkering around in the garage and garden followed by his evening news. Darrell was a high school graduate of Homer Sr. High School, he attended Alfred State College, became an Autobody Technician, and later retired from Cornell Local 267 Union Plumber and Steamfitters.
Darrell was so loved and will be dearly missed. The impact he made on all of his children's lives will live on through them and his grandchildren for years to come.
The family would like to thank the Homer Fire Department, TLC, the State Police, Denise Bushnell, and Wright-Beard Funeral Home for everything they have done to help through this difficult time.
The Family will be accepting visitors at the Virgil United Methodist Church on Saturday March 30, 2024 at 11am with Service following at noon.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to your local fishing and wildlife programs.
