Stephen A. Smith, 65 of Homer passed away on April 8, 2024, at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center. He was born on October 23, 1958, in Cortland, a son of the late Gordon and Elizabeth Ladd Smith.
Stephen worked for Pall Trinity doing maintenance until he was disabled. Stephen enjoyed lots of activities, some of his favorites were bowling, fishing, watching racing and camping. One of his favorite activities was water skiing and he was very proud he was able to ski with one ski.
Stephen is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda, daughter, Desiree (Chris Marsh) Smith, son Connor (Stephanie) Smith, stepson, Joshua (Nicole) Fortin, sister, Pamela Smith, brother, Daniel Smith, 9 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held 1:00 – 3:00 PM Saturday at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland with funeral services to follow at 3 PM.
